Piping Manufacture
With a tight schedule and high quality requirements, Wolfard & Wessels Werktuigbouw is able to supply piping packages within the correct tolerances and desired delivery times. We supply piping products for all possible installations on board ships and for industrial purposes.
Our 4000 m2 production facility is equipped with the latest machines in the field of CNC bending and T-Drilling. With the help of these machines, the hours per operation are reduced as much as possible to achieve a low cost per unit. In our workshop we process various materials, such as steel, stainless steel, GRE, GRP and CuNiFer.
T-DRILL
Creating a T-connection on a pipe by means of a mechanical operation. DN 32 to DN 300, with a wall thickness of up to 8.8 mm. Diameter of the T-connection: DN 32 to DN 200. The benefits are:
Short processing time
Cost reduction compared to a standard T-piece
Pipe deformation during welding is greatly reduced
Welding time reduced by approx. 60%.
Collars (Tube end forming)
Creating a seating surface on a pipe for a loose flange. This mechanical operation eliminates the welding of a flange to a pipe. The operation can be performed hot (for thick-walled pipe) or cold (for thin-walled pipe). The benefits are:
- Short processing time
- Reduction in costs compared to a welded flange.
- Flange holes of the loose flange always in the correct position
- High degree of flexibility during mounting
- Deformation of wall thickness similar to bending
TUBE END FORMING
Expanding the pipe diameter. DN 25 to DN 250, with a wall thickness of up to 8.8 mm. The benefits are:
Short processing time
Cost reduction > 50% compared to a sleeve connection
Adjustable, for a larger diameter due to hot dip galvanizing.
No residual waste
High degree of flexibility during mounting
Deformation of wall thickness comparable to bending
Bending
Bending the pipe using a CNC machine. DN 25 to DN 100. The benefits are:
- Short processing time
- Cost reduction compared to welding bends
- In terms of flow, there is less resistance compared to a welding bend.
- In combination with the collars, pipes can be designed and produced without welding.
